Leading  Ski and Lakes & Mountains holiday specialist Tour Operator, Hotelplan UK, is moving to Godalming at the beginning of June. We have a number of vacancies at our new headquarters building conveniently located next to Godalming Station.

Facilities Coordinator

Required to ensure the smooth running of the company's new 20,000 sq ft offices. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Facilities Management, a positive 'can-do' attitude, be able and willing to carry out light maintenance and to source and manage external contractors for larger jobs. Duties will also include the ordering and control of general office supplies and stationery, control of incoming & outgoing post, assisting with the despatch of brochures, and the preparation of service charge accounts.

Guest Services Executives

Godalming based with occasional overseas travel

In this role, you will be providing the highest standards of service to our guests, whether smoothing the way for them and resolving queries pre-departure, or investigating and dealing with in-resort and/or post-departure feedback and problems.

You'll need to be a pro-active problem-solver, ideally with at least one year's tour operating or travel agency experience, whether in the UK or in overseas resorts.  First class, articulate written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, combined with good organisational and analytical skills.

Reservations Consultants

Godalming based with occasional overseas travel opportunities

If you are a keen skier or snowboarder or have a passion for the mountains and an enthusiasm for sales, you'll enjoy being part of our team!

We will provide full training on our computerised reservations system, plus in-depth product and sales skill training, including in due course the opportunity to take overseas familiarisation visits, so you can experience our products for yourself.

You must be committed, flexible and a strong team player, able to work under pressure and manage sometimes complex enquiries and holiday costings in a calm, professional and guest/travel agent-friendly manner. We work a shift pattern which includes evenings, weekends and some Bank Holidays, and there is a sales-based commission scheme in addition to a competitive basic salary.

Background to the role

You will use your ski expertise and passion for delivering excellent customer service at all times throughout the booking process, for direct customers and travel agents. You will be converting leads into bookings for both our winter Ski and our summer Lakes & Mountains programs.

Responsibilities

To provide excellent customer service and selling expertise to Inghams customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling reservations calls from direct clients and Travel Agents
  • Checking availability, providing quotes and processing bookings for all your clients
  • Selling additional products such as ski packs, lift passes, insurance and excursions
  • Cross-selling to clients if a resort/hotel is not available
  • Delivering exceptional customer service through excellent resort / country knowledge
  • Hitting all sales targets set

Turning quotations into sales and entering all information accurately onto the reservations system

The Candidate

Specific skills, experience and qualities Inghams is looking for from the ideal candidate:

 

  • Strong knowledge of European and North American ski resorts
  • Passionate about skiing or snow boarding
  • Hard working, with excellent attention to detail
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service
  • A good telephone manner with strong ability to sell
  • Professional, friendly and approachable
  • A good team player
  • Good communication skills - on the telephone and in writing
  • Previous experience in a travel reservations environment
  • Excellent standards of Computer literacy
