Last year’s performers:
Marcus Brigstocke – Co-Founder of the Altitude Festival, Marcus has emerged as a major comedy, writing and acting talent, performing in the UK and beyond. He has become a regular voice on BBC Radio with an impressive list of TV and film credits.
Andrew Maxwell – Co-Founder of the Altitude Festival, Dublin-born stand-up as well known as Bono in Ireland, was named comics' comic in the 2005 Chortle awards. In 2007 he was nominated for the if.comedy award for the best show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Maxwell hosts his own weekly late-night comedy gig Fullmooners, which mainly takes place in London but also tours around comedy festivals such as Edinburgh and the Kilkenny Cat Laughs
Rich Hall – The grouchy, deadpan, comic genius, Rich is a master of absurdist irony while eschewing the human condition. He is well known in the United States for appearing and writing on the David Letterman Show – for which he won an Emmy Award.
Lee Mack – Winner of the Best Stand-Up award at the Loaded LAFTA’s, Lee was a key performer in ITV1’s ‘The Sketch Show” which ran for two series and was BAFTA award winning. He has also written and starred in two series of ‘The Lee Mack Show” on BBC Radio 2, hosted They Think It’s All Over (BBC One) and headlined on Jack Dee Live at the Apollo.
Ed Byrne – Ed Byrne is a household name in Ireland, his Edinburgh and Melbourne shows always sell out, his DVD’s are amongst the biggest selling in the world of comedy and he has die hard fans everywhere. Its easy to see why. His fast pace delivery, razor sharp timing and his affable manner make his stand up shows engaging, entertaining and of course funny!
Phil Jupitus – A regular on television and radio panel shows, including BBC Radio 4's I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue and BBC Two/BBC Four's QI, and is probably most well known for his regular slot as team captain on BBC Two's Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
