Piste Closure Insurance Premium £8 per person - Worldwide or Europe

If you are not taking the travel insurance arranged by Inghams and have sufficient alternative cover in place, you may take advantage of the Piste Closure Insurance cover sold separately. Please indicate at the time of booking if you wish to purchase this.

Cover: If there is a total closure of the area lift system at your resort due to ADVERSE WEATHER, FREE transport will be provided to another ski area. In the unlikely event that no alternative is available, on your return you will be entitled to COMPENSATION of £30 per complete day that you are unable to ski (excluding days of arrival and departure). ‘Total closure of the area lift system’ excludes baby drags and lifts used for transport in the resort by non skiers. Where transport is provided to another ski area we are unable to provide free lift passes for the new area. Cross country skiers are governed by the same conditions as above. Please note that if you do not take the Piste Closure insurance policy, transport to another ski area cannot be guaranteed. If this is available, it will cost from £10 to £35 per person per day, payable locally.

Fogg Travel Insurance Services Limited with TokioMarine Europe Insurance Ltd and Union Reiseversicherung AG (URV) are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). We are an Appointed Representative of Fogg enabling us to arrange your insurance.We have many years of experience and believe that the cover arranged is well suited to your needs. You will receive a Fogg Travel ‘Medi-card’ which gives immediate confirmation of cover to doctors and rescue services. Once accepted, all you will have to pay is the policy excess amount. The policy is designed only for permanent residents of the UK and Republic of Ireland.

* Off piste cover is included provided you act reasonably and do not ski in a closed or avalanche risk area, and if not skiing with a Guide or Instructor, always check that the area is suitable for a skier at your level.
