When should I apply?
We start recruiting for the winter season from May onwards. We accept application forms year round.

Will I hear back from you even if my application is unsuccessful?
Yes, we aim to get back to you as soon as possible normally within 2 weeks of receiving your application.

Do I need a work permit?
If you do not have an EU Passport then you will need to organise the relevant work permit for the country you are applying to work in.

I do a lot of cooking to dinner party standard but don’t hold a cooking qualification; will you still consider me for a Chalet Host Position?
Yes, for Chalet Hosts that do not hold a cooking qualification we send you on a cookery assessment weekend in November prior to the start of the season.

This is my first season, what are you looking for?
It is important that you read the different job descriptions and see what relevant experience you have in relation to the jobs.

If I am successful when and where are the interviews held?
We hold the bulk of the interview from July to September, however, if you are working overseas for a summer season or have other commitments we do interview outside of these dates. All interviews are held in our Head Office in Putney, South West London. Unfortunately we are unable to pay travel expenses.

What happens at the interview, how long will it last, do I need to bring anything?
We interview on a one to one basis and the interview is normally 1 – 1 ½  hours. If you have written references it is worthwhile bringing copies to interview with you. We suggest that you dress smart casual as we appreciate that seasonal staff do not always own a suit! At the end of the interview the interviewer will go through the package and give you an opportunity to ask any questions that haven’t been answered during the interview.

Will I know which resort and property I will be working in?
Yes, you will know before the start of the season. It is important that we get the right mix of age, experience and sex within our teams so you may not know until October.

Which resorts feature our Chalets and Club Hotel programme?
Pick up a brochure from your local travel agent or look at the website to see our properties.

By mid November you will receive your final joining instructions detailing where and when the coach will be leaving to go to the Alps for the training course?
The season starts at the beginning of December and finishes at the end of April

What about training?
We are very committed to training our staff and we hold a training course prior to the start of the season in Meribel, France.

I am unable to commit to a full season, December to April, is it still worth applying?
Yes, we run a reserve list to cover peak seasons and injuries – please when applying be clear as to what your availability is.
