Team Leader – Group & Chalet Dept
Background to the role
Your role is to manage the Group & Chalet department to deliver excellent customer service at all times throughout the booking process for direct customers and travel agents. Your main responsibility will be to manage summer and winter Group and Chalet bookings, along with some related administration. In addition you will process all lastminute.com enquiries. You will also be expected to help out with other Reservations when necessary.
Key responsibilities will include:
To manage your team ensuring that they provide excellent customer service and selling expertise to Inghams Groups, Chalets and lastminute.com customers.
- Taking and allocating reservations calls
- Checking availability, providing quotes and processing bookings
- Managing and delegating the administration for group bookings including the addition of ski packs and names to existing bookings, cancellations, and any other changes – via the telephone and email
- Managing and delegating emails and replying to customers and agents
- Ensuring all staff hit sales targets set for all Chalet bookings
General
- Conducting staff appraisals and performance management
- Training new and existing staff in all Inghams products
- Ensuring all targets are achieved
- Checking and sorting invoices
- Replying to emails within a set time limits and in accordance with Company standards
- Taking main reservations calls when necessary

Specific skills, experience and qualities Inghams is looking for from the ideal candidate:
- Experience of managing and motivation a team in a busy environment
- Working in a Groups Department will be an advantage
- Hard working, with excellent attention to detail
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
- A good telephone manner with strong ability to sell
- Professional, friendly and approachable
- Good communication skills – on the telephone, face to face and in writing
- Previous experience in a travel reservations environment
- Being a keen skier, or having good knowledge of countries Inghams features is a distinct advantage

Reservations Consultant
Background to the role
Your role is to deliver excellent customer service at all times throughout the booking process for direct customers and travel agents. Your main responsibility will be to manage Lakes & Mountains and Ski bookings, along with some related administration. You will also be expected to help out with other Reservations when necessary.
Key responsibilities will include:
To provide excellent customer service and selling expertise to Inghams customers.
- Handling reservations calls from direct clients and Travel Agents
- Checking availability, providing quotes and processing bookings for all your clients
- Selling additional products such as ski packs, lift passes, insurance and excursions
- Cross-selling to clients if a resort/hotel is not available
- Delivering exceptional customer service through excellent resort / country knowledge
- Following all sales guidelines set
- Hitting all sales targets set for Main Res
- Replying to emails within a set time limits and in accordance with Company standards
- Taking other reservations calls when necessary
The Candidate

- Passionate about skiing or snow boarding

- Previous experience in a travel reservations environment
- ABTA Level 1 Insurance exam (training will be given where necessary)
- Ability to use Outlook, word and excel to a good standard
- Being a keen skier, or having good knowledge of countries Inghams features is a distinct advantage
