Chalet Hotel Meals

Breakfast – A buffet breakfast including a choice of cereals, fruit juices, local breads, cold meats, cheeses and preserves with tea & coffee,  plus a hot ‘dish of the day’ six days per week, such as pancakes, sausage or bacon, which is freshly cooked to order.

Packed Lunch – Provided five days a week. Packed up before you leave for the day, this generally includes a filled roll, crisps, a drink, fruit and a snack bar, to keep you going until your return home.

Afternoon Tea/Coffee & Cake – Provided five days a week. After a day’s walking or exploring the area, return to a hot drink and a slice of freshly baked home-made cake.

'Culinary Choice' Dinner - Our Chalet Hotels make dinner a highlight of the day, with our 5-course menus served five days each week, accompanied by a choice of quality wines. Dinner starts with canapés and an apéritif, generally served in the lounge/bar, followed by a starter, main course, dessert and a cheese selection to finish.

We offer choices for each course, always including a vegetarian option, and ask that you make your selection at breakfast each day, so that our chef’s team can prepare everything fresh for you that evening. Meals can be as sociable or as private as you wish, with larger tables for groups of friends, whether old or new, or private tables for more intimate dining.

Barbecue Al Fresco Evening - One night each week, weather permitting, we will eat outdoors with a more informal menu.

Chalet Meals

Our chalet cuisine follows that shown above for our Chalet Hotels, with a daily buffet breakfast, packed lunch and afternoon tea 5 days per week, and dinner 6 days per week, including one barbecue or Al Fresco evening. With smaller kitchens and staff teams however, chalets do not include a hot option at breakfast, and dinner is a fixed table d'ôte menu of four courses, comprising of canapés & apertif, starter, main course and dessert, followed by tea/coffee & chocolates.

Complimentary Chalet Hotel Wines

Our choice of wines for all our chalets and Chalet Hotels is selected in conjunction with our good friends, Nicolas and Véronique Perret, and their long established Savoie wine business. Nicolas is a qualified ‘Master of Wine’, and has helped us select two contrasting whites, two choice reds and a summery rosé for you to enjoy, unlimited, throughout dinner each evening.

Inghams Chalet & Chalet Hotel Staff

Our chalet hosts and Chalet Hotel teams are chosen for their friendly and helpful commitment to excellent guest service, with chefs who take great pride in the quality of the meals we serve. One evening per week is the staff's free day (usually Mondays). Breakfast will be provided as usual, and in the evening you have the opportunity to dine out in one of the local restaurants. At all times your Resort Representative is also on hand to help out with their local knowledge, and help arrange restaurant bookings on the staff’s one evening off duty.

General Information

Vegetarian options are always available to choose from our menus, and other special diets can be catered for at a cost of £35 per person per week, if booked with us in advance. (See our Booking Conditions page for details). All chalet & Chalet Hotels are entirely non-smoking. Each has its own bar, open to residents only – the ideal place for a refreshingly chilled beer after a long walk, or a pre- or post-dinner drink. Property ratings shown are our own, and are not to be confused with ‘official’ star rating systems of any kind. One evening per week is on the staff’s free day, when you have the opportunity to dine out in one of the local restaurants.
