Dolomites

Many say that the Dolomites are the most spectacular part of the Alps. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we drive north of the lake towards these famous mountains making our way up to 2,000m at Passo Pordoi where you will have time for lunch and an optional cable-car ride will give you the most incredible views of the area. A visit to the picturesque Tyrolean town of Ortisei and photo stops along the way will also be included.

Tour of Lake Garda

Travelling by coach and ferry, discover the contrasts of this lake, from the spectacular mountain scenery of the north to the sunny plains of the south with free time in selected resorts. The tour itinerary varies depending on where you start but takes in resorts that are less easy to visit from your starting point.

Venice

Leave resort by coach making your way to the unique and famous city of Venice. Board a private boat and cruise down the Guidecca Canal to disembark close to St. Mark's Square. Enjoy around 6 hours free time to explore the likes of the Basilica, Doges Palace and the Rialto independently. Take optional tours like a magic gondola ride or a cruise around the sparse lagoon to see other famous islands. Leaving Venice once again by private boat back to Tronchetto to join the coach for your journey home.

Venice by Night
£59 | Thursday | full day/evening
Leave you resort after breakfast by coach making our way to the unique and famous city of Venice. Board a private boat and cruise down the Guidecca Canal to disembark close to St. Mark's Square. Enjoy around 6 hours free time to explore the likes of the Basilica, Doges Palace and the Rialto independently. Take optional tours like a magic gondola ride or a cruise around the sparse lagoon to see other famous islands. There is also time for dinner in Venice (pay locally) then leaving again by boat as the sun sets and the lights come on making it worth staying the extra time. Depart around 9:30pm for return to Lake Garda.

Wine Tour

A thoroughly pleasant afternoon spent visiting one of the region's many renowned wine producers. A tour through their vineyard and the cellars to learn the techniques of wine making and to finish, enjoy tasting a selection of wines. A must if you like Italian wine.

Verona Opera
The opera at the arena of Verona is a real spectacle. Sit in the warm night air and enjoy the magnificent Roman arena, the electric atmosphere and spectacular opera. Performances commence at 9pm. Most places are on the steps of the arena. Excursions will run from all Lake Garda resorts for every performance. If you are staying in Verona we can book your tickets for you, without transport to the Arena.
Prices start from £20 (Verona tickets only), and £50 (including return transport).

Northern Italian Highlights
Two centre Lake Garda Holiday
This two-centre holiday explores the contrasts between the north and the south of Lake Garda. It includes 4 days touring to the cultural and scenic highlights of the area, giving a comprehensive overview of this corner of Italy. From Riva in the foothills of the Alps on the lake's north shore, we visit the spectacular Dolomites, the Trentino countryside to visit a winery and a full day in the cultural city of Verona. Desenzano, our second centre, in the south of the lake, is a convenient base from which to visit northern Italy's classical city. A full day and evening visit is included to Venice where you can experience this magical city by day and night. You will be fully supported by Inghams representatives in resort, who will be able to give you advice on further excursions or independent exploration.
