Renowned as one of the prettiest villages in Austria, Alpbach is a family holiday delight. Surrounded by meadows and forests and set against the imposing backdrop of the Gratlspitz peaks, its chocolate box exterior hides some very sophisticated modern facilities. Activity holidays for families with small children are an ideal fit; they all love the Juppi Magic Forest Walk complete with adventure playgrounds, mini zoos, a ghost moor and a witch's house. For older children and especially teenagers, there's a host of mountain bike routes, horse riding and hiking trails. The free kid's club (3-12yrs) is a few minutes away at Reith (free transport).
