3-Centre Rail Holiday
This 3-centre holiday combines stays on three of Switzerland ’s world-famous lakes, and is an ideal way to explore the varied regions of this stunning country. Travelling by rail within Switzerland and staying in 3-star hotels throughout, you will experience the diversity of French - and German-speaking Switzerland – taking in the ‘Swiss Riviera’ resort of Montreux, the bustling town of Interlaken known as the ‘gateway to the Jungfrau region’, as well as vibrant Lucerne in the heart of Switzerland. You will also travel on ‘Golden Pass’ train line from Montreux to Interlaken and from Interlaken to Lucerne. Escorted by an experienced Inghams guide, this tour is designed for those seeking a true taste of four of Switzerland’s contrasting regions. From the beautiful lakeside setting of Lucerne, to the famous mountain resort of Davos; onto the ‘Matterhorn Village’ of Zermatt, and then the dramatic scenery of Grindelwald, each transfer is by First Class rail and Switzerland’s luggage transfer system does all the hard work - your suitcase is transported for you between each resort - all you need do is sit back and admire the scenery. The real highlight of the holiday is the famous ‘Glacier Express’ rail journey from Davos to Zermatt, where we have arranged for you to enjoy lunch on board.
