Classic Iceland Tour

Escorted coach tour

An unforgettable adventure around the outer rim of this diverse Land of Fire and Ice, taking in all the major highlights that Iceland has to offer. The sheer variety of the scenery is bewildering. You will see glaciers, geysirs, waterfalls, volcanic geothermal areas, fjords, ocean and mountains, all in a rich array of shapes and colours. There is marine and bird life in abundance. The first day is spent enjoying Reykjavik, with its wide choice of optional excursions, before joining our tour bus. Our circular route takes us from the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in the west to Akureyri, Husavik and Lake Myvatn in the north. We cross the desolate central highlands en route to the eastern fjords, before continuing to the glaciers and lava plains of the vast Vatnajokull ice cap in the south. There will be time most days to walk amidst these dazzling landscapes. Two included boat trips take us whale watching and amongst the floating icebergs of a glacial lagoon.
