Discover the Julian Alps
4 Centre Holidays
Discover magnificent landscapes, dramatic scenery, and the varied flora & fauna and wildlife of the Julian Alps. The majestic backdrops are formed by the jagged summits of Mount Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain (2,864m) and namesake of the country’s National Park which covers 880 sq km. Nestled in this picturesque area are the intriguing destinations of Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Kranjska Gora and Bovec: Lake Bled’s beauty is renowned, nestled amidst dense pine forests and surrounded by the dramatic snow-capped Julian Alps, and its famous tiny wooded island has become the national symbol of Slovenia. Fairytale Lake Bohinj enjoys one of the most picturesque and unspoilt natural settings at the foot of Mt Vogel. The small picturesque village of Kranjska Gora sits at the confluence of the Sava Dolinka and Pišnica valleys against the dramatic backdrop of the Julian Alps. Bovec offers a fantastic array of activities in its idyllic valley which also was the setting for many scenes from the latest ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ film.
