Walking around Dubrovnik is one of the best ways to get to see this beautiful town, one of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites. A walk around the Old Town walls is a wonderful way to begin your stay, and meandering through the cobbled streets will help to acquaint yourself with the resort.

Further out of the town, walk from Gruz harbour to Lapad Bay, or head up into the Mount Srd to Napolean's Fort, which offers lovely views over Dubrovnik and is now connected by cable-car.

Some nice walking can be done in and around Cavtat. Taking a walk towards Cilipi, you come across some superb views along the coast.

The Mljet National Park with its dense pine forests, lagoons, isolated coves and lakes offers walking and cycling trails of exceptional beauty.
