Here are some great examples of introductory walks around the area of La Villa and the Alta Badia. On arrival in La Villa your Inghams Representative will have a full programme of walks and activities
to choose from whether you are a holiday rambler or like more challenging hikes.

Sompunt Lake | Easy | Approx ½ hr |

An introductory walk, perfect for getting your bearings. Starting from the church of La Villa we walk along the Rottonara Road, past the Sotsas farmstead walking through beautiful woods and flower-filled meadows on to the lake. An ideal location for a picnic under the pine trees along the shore of Lake Sompunt This is an ideal starting point for many other walks such as walk: Badia, La Villa and Sponata. Free

Colfosco Panorama | Medium | Approx 3 hrs |

This enjoyable hike is at altitude and set against the imposing backdrop of the Group Sella mountains. Admire a particularly lovely view of the Val de Misdé and Piz Boè while walking along the Colfosco panorama path. This is the ideal path to discover and take in the stunning Dolomite flora, so if you really like alpine flowers, don’t miss it! Approx £10 payable locally.

La Villa-Puez | Slightly challenging | Approx 3 hrs |

From the Sponata chairlift, the climb takes you through alpine pines to the Gherdenacia hut. This path leads to Ciampanì. Climb through this valley over some slightly rocky sections, and then you will come to the Forcela Gherdenacia. You can return the same way or take the trail to Colfosco (approx 1¾ hrs). Approx £10 payable locally.
