Walking Information
There are over 550km of walking paths in and around Kandersteg. A favourite walk is the easy trail along the valley to the picturesque lake of 'Blausee' (approx. 1½ hrs). You can take the bus home! For the more adventurous, try part of the famous 'Gemmipass' trail, which gives you wonderful views of the Valais alps. The Sunnbüel and Oeschinensee cable-cars give easy access to some of the higher paths for great walking, panoramic restaurant with terrace and rowing boat hire.
