There are many scenic walks in and around Locarno. A pleasant 1 hour stroll along the lakeside brings you to the pictureque village of Ascona. Explore the alleywaysand quaint corners, full of cafés, art galleries and craft shops. Those wanting more serious hiking can enjoy the varied Cardada mountain walks, lasting from 30 minutes to several hours, reached by the funicular from the Locarno.
