Walking Information

Neustift’s central location in the Stubai Valley makes it a walker's paradise which offers everything from easy valley walks, moderate paths to summer farms and more challenging high altitude paths to fixed rope routes. Wander from one end of the valley to the other following the river or take the higher paths and explore Stubai's many peaks, gorges and waterfalls. More than 50 mountain huts and farms are dotted about on the hillsides and many are easily reached on foot, or combined with the use of a lift. The valley offers excellent rambling for all levels and the paths are accessible by valley bus and the four Stubai Valley lifts.

By bus to Mieders, from there up by lift. Walking through mountain scenery at the foot of the 'Serles' mountain to the Waldrast Monastry and back down to Mieders. Lift/bus approx. €12.

Friday Pinnis Valley | Moderate | 5 ½ hrs | 1,676-2,073m

From the top of the Elfer gondola, up to the Elfer hut, then following the panoramic path down to Karalm hut. returning to the Elfer lift via Pinnisalm hut. Chairlift approx. €11.
