The Seefeld-Scharnitz valley is ideal for low level rambles and the lower summits offer wonderful views of limestone peaks. Keen hikers will also find plenty of harder walks to challenge them from the Rosshütte.

By public bus to Scharnitz, then walk through beautiful scenery in the Karwendel nature reserve and take a narrow path through the stunning Gleirsch gorge. Return via the Hochwald path to Scharnitz. Bus/train back approx. €8.
Friday Leutasch and Wetterstein hut | Moderate | 6 hrs | 1,200-1,750m
By public bus to Kirchplatzl in the scenic Leutasch valley. Walk up to the Wetterstein hut. Descend via the Hämmermoos meadow and the start of the Gais valley. Return by public bus (approx. €6).
