DAY 1 SATURDAY - Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2 SUNDAY - Welcome and orientation walk (2 hours, easy).

DAY 3 MONDAY - Markbachjoch to Schönanger. Take the Markbachjoch gondola to the top and follow path no 2 to the Käse Alm and on to the Hörlerstiegl (1475m). The path continues, gently ascending, to the Feldalm huts and then descends to the Kober Alm and Schönanger Alm show dairy. Return on the tourist train. (5½ hrs, easy).

DAY 4 TUESDAY - Gressenstein waterfall - Breitegg Spitze. Take the tourist train to the Schönanger Alm and from here climb to the Gressenstein waterfall. Continue through the pine forest to the cross on the Breitegg Spitze (1868m) with views over the Hohe Tauern, Karwendel and Rofan Mountains before descending to Schönanger. (5 hrs, medium).

DAY 5 WEDNESDAY - Walk from Oberau via the Minz path and the Egghöfe farms to the Boarstadl hut then on to the Achental summer farm for a taste of the local sweet speciality (optional). Continue to the Kragenjoch cross (1387m) for views into the Inn valley and Kufstein and back to Oberau. (4½ hrs, medium).

DAY 6 THURSDAY - Auffach to Koglmoos via Hohlried.
Take the tourist train to Auffach and walk up to the Bernau Plateau before continuing to Koglmoos (1302m) at the mid station of the gondola. Enjoy the lovely views over the whole Wildschönau Valley before descending via the ancient Hohlried Farm to Auffach. Return on the tourist train. (4 hrs, easy).

DAY 7 FRIDAY - Niederau to the Filzmoos Moor. Get a fascinating insight to the alpine flora and fauna on the moors around the Möslalm Mountain. Watch dragonflies and frogs, butterflies and birds in this beautiful area. After a stop at the Foisching hut return to Niederau. (4 hrs, easy).
