Itinerary: Austrian Explorer
Day 1:
Saturday Arrival at the airport followed by transfer to the hotel.
Day 2:
Sunday Welcome by hotel and orientation walk of the lovely village of Mutters.
Day 3:
Monday
Transfer bus to the high alpine village of Küthai and from here walk up to Kühtai’s mountain lakes. Alternatively the guide will lead you up to the Mutterer Alm, above Mutters from where you will get the cable car down. Includes evening Lantern walk to the Natterer Boden, close to Mutters.
Day 4:
Tuesday
Transfer bus into the Gschnitz Valley, an unspoilt valley south of Mutters. From here the walk takes you to the church of St. Magdalena. Alternatively, drive to the scenic Navis Valley, south of Mutters and walk up to the Peer Alm Mountain hut.
Day 5:
Wednesday
Transfer bus to the little town of Zirl, west of Mutters, and walk through the spectacular Ehnbachklamm Ravine to Hochzirl.Alternative walk starts in the Sellrain valley. From here the guide leads you over the high Knappenpath to Küthai, which takes you through valleys of splendid fauna and flora.
Day 6:
Thursday
Transfer to the beautiful, nature friendly Stubai valley and wander along the ‘Contemplation’ path into the remote Pinnis valley. The alternative walk goes from the Stubai valley up to the Sulzenauer hill.
Day 7:
Friday
Sunrise hike: In the early morning, we drive to Oberperfuss in the west of Mutters and walk up to the Rangger Koepfl to await the sunrise over the mountains. The day walk goes from the Axamer Lizum, up to either the Peak of Nochspitze, or to the Pfarrach Alm. (Advanced registration required).
Day 8:
Saturday
Departure to overseas airport for your homeward flight or transfer to a second centre for more walking options.
