parish in Austria this compact village
is found at the end of the scenic Ötztal
valley and is perfectly positioned
to explore the area. With miles of
extensive well-marked paths the
area is a walkers’ paradise, offering
many challenging hikes. From the Hohe
Mut there is a spectacular panorama
of glaciers to discover and the famous
iceman was found in one of these. A
footpath winds down along the river
to Zwieselstein and Sölden passing waterfalls and an occasional mountain hut. In the evenings why not enjoy a leisurely stroll, with a drink at a local bar or at the local meeting place in the Edelweiss and Gurgl.
