PARK-HOTEL SCHÖNBRUNN
Virtually opposite Schönbrunn Palace and the zoological garden, this fine historic hotel of imperial grandeur was known as the ‘Emperor’s Guesthouse’ in 1907 as it was built for Kaiser Franz Josef. The Parkhotel also has a fascinating musical history - the building was founded in 1787 and in 1933 became ‘Dommayers’ coffee-house, later made famous by performances of Johann Strauss for Vienna’s ‘high society’.
