to the north of Greece and Turkey and
enjoys a continental climate, but unlike
its neighbours, Bulgaria offers a much
greener landscape with mountain ranges,
rose fields and vineyards plus a coastline
on the Black Sea. With its cultural
blend of past Turkish and Russian influence,
the country will not fail to fascinate
you. Colourful folklore, music and
traditions are also a way of life here.
Our tour will let you experience all
of this, the itinerary takes in the
country’s cultural, historic and scenic highlights including the capital city of Sofia, the medieval town of Veliko Tarnovo, the picturesque seaside resort of Nessebar, the ancient city of Plovdiv and Rila Monastery (pictured right). There will also be time for relaxing and enjoying the pine forests of Bansko in the scenic Pirin range.
