Days 1-3: Vancouver Fly to Vancouver with a short taxi transfer to your downtown hotel. Enjoy a walk around Stanley Park, Chinatown, historic Gastown or the shops along Robson Street. Days 4-5: Whistler Experience a spectacular drive along the ‘Sea to Sky’ highway to the crisp mountain air of famous Whistler with its string of lakes and glacier capped peaks. Relax, go bear-watching, ride the scenic mountain gondola, enjoy a wide range of walks or a gentle canoe trip along the ‘River of Golden Dreams’. For full resort details see pages 20-21.
Days 6-7: Rocky Mountaineer All aboard the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer for a spectacular 2 day rail journey to the Rockies. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery from deep canyons and lush farmlands to desert-like ranchlands before overnighting in Quesnel. 2nd day highlights include untamed forests with plentiful wildlife, the dramatic Cariboo Mountains, and Mount Robson the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. We arrive late afternoon into Jasper.
Days 8-9: Jasper National Park Located in the Rockies’ largest National Park, Jasper town has a welcoming frontier atmosphere and offers endless excursion, recreational and walking opportunities. Days 10-13: Banff National Park Start with a spellbinding trip along the 230km Icefields Parkway stopping at Columbia Glacier enroute. We arrive in the lively town of Banff with its many shops and excursion choices, including the gondola and hot-springs, Johnston Canyon, Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Itinerary variations by airport: Gatwick, Heathrow and Glasgow guests arrive Vancouver on Thursdays and depart Calgary on Wednesdays. Manchester guests arrive Vancouver on Saturdays and depart Calgary on Fridays. All Guests stay 13 nights in Canada.
