Houses covered in blossoming geraniums
and bougainvillaea line the old, cobbled
streets that lead up from the lakeside.
The lakeside is equally colourful with
two small harbours, old arches and
a variety of shops - leather goods
are a speciality. They remain open
until 10pm for most of the summer.
Lake swimming and windsurfing are possible
from the shingle beaches, or you may
prefer to walk up into the hills through the olive groves. Limone really comes to life in the evening when everybody takes to wandering along the promenade, looking at the shops or enjoying a drink while listening to live music.
