A Douar is the traditional home of Berber villagers and this one has been lovingly restored by Jacqueline, the French owner and offers an insight in to Berber life. The Douar Samra is located in the mountain village of Imlil at 6,000 ft. It is 40 miles south of Marrakech and is an ideal base for guided walks in the High Atlas mountains.
