Piran is a jewel on Slovenia’s short
Adriatic coast, with close cultural

and Tartini Square, backs on to a charming
harbour, where the fishing boats gently
rock on the glistening water. Portoroz
is more of a cosmopolitan ‘riviera’
style resort, boasting as its main
feature, a floral promenade justly
giving the town its name - ‘The Port
of Roses’. A distinct flavour of the
