Guided Walking in Villars
There are a variety of easy walks from the village in all directions, and from the rack railway at Bretaye, there are pleasant walks to the mountain lakes of Vaux, Bretaye and Chavonnes. There are some alpine farms which you can visit, and see how cheese is made. Keen walkers can do excellent circular walks taking in the Chaux Ridge with its superb views and by taking the Roc D'Orsay cable car, you can hike on the Crete des Tailles, another superb ridge walk. With over 300 kms of marked trails to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice.
