Travel by rail
Relax and enjoy an international rail journey across Europe to your Alpine destination. Travel by Eurostar from London to Paris in 2hrs 15mins. Change station in Paris and catch your scheduled High Speed Train (TGV) to Switzerland or France, or a more relaxed overnight service to Austria. This is independent travel with no Inghams representative on the trains.
All timings (based on Summer 2007) are for guidance only and are subject to change. Full timings will be confirmed with your tickets. You will need to purchase your own underground ticket for your connection in Paris (approx €1 per person each way.) Please note that due to the opening of St. Pancras station, timings are subject to change. Connections between Paris Nord and Paris Est are a short walk.
Austria
Travel by rail to Ellmau, Fuschl, Kitzbühel, Mayrhofen, Niederau, Oberau, Saalbach/Hinterglemm, Salzburg, Söll, St Gilgen, St. Johann, St Wolfgang, Westendorf and Zell am See. Supplement per person: £39. You will travel by Eurostar in 2h15 to Paris and then on an overnight couchette service to Munich. Couchettes are designed for long-distance overnight journeys with seats which convert into bunks (couchettes) for up to six passengers per compartment. You may share a courchette compartment with other people. Seats are not reserved from Munich - Wörgl/Salzburg.

Switzerland
Travel by rail to any Swiss resort (except Locarno, Saas Fee, Villars & Zermatt). Go by Eurostar from London or Ebbsfleet to Paris, then change station in Paris to board a TGV service to Geneva or Basel and onward to your destination. Seats will be reserved on both Eurostar and TGV. In Paris, connections are via Paris Est and Basel or Paris Lyon and Geneva (full details to be confirmed). At your final Swiss station, you will be transferred to your accommodation by minibus/taxi. Departures are on Wednesdays (£35 supplement per person) and Saturdays (£50 supplement per person).

France
Travel to Annecy for Talloires by rail. Take the Eurostar from London St. Pancras or Ebbsfleet International to Paris Gare du Nord. Change station in Paris to Paris Gare de Lyon and depart on a direct TGV to Annecy. For the change of station in Paris, you wll need to make your own way (a 2-stop ride on the RER Underground system). On arrival in Annecy, you will be collected by taxi/minibus and transferred to your hotel in Talloires. Departures are Wednesdays (NIL supplement per person) and Saturdays (£10 supplement per person).
