Climate & Clothing

Lapland's crisp dry type cold is quite comfortable as long as good protective winter clothing is worn. This should include:

• Warm ski suit or rented thermal overalls

• Several light layers of under garments

• Long thermal underwear, warm socks and boots

• Hats and gloves

• Ski goggles or sunglasses

Warm thermal suits and boots can be pre-booked or hired locally by the week.

Kindergarten & Ski Kindergarten Services

Levi and Yllas all offer excellent kindergarden facilities with professional English speaking staff. Ski School and excursion times will be allocated locally on arrival, so it is not possible or necessary to pre-book kindergarten before you travel. All this can be done easily on arrival at times that fit your programme, ensuring you will be able to enjoy our range of activities and excursions together as a family, whilst being able to have your children cared for when needed.
