Make the most of your Santa Break! It is our job to help you budget for your holiday and make the most of your Lapland adventure. So you can pre-book all your favourite winter excursions in advance.

Our Lapland activities and adventures are very popular, especially in December. So it is always wise to pre-book to make sure you don't miss out.
Child prices apply to ages 4-12yrs inclusive. Children aged 0-3yrs inclusive go FREE but you might be asked to pay locally for transport to excursions. Snowmobiling insurance is included but there is a €550 excess. Drivers must be over 18yrs and present a full car or motorbike driver's license.

When visiting Lapland, if you're lucky you'll witness these mesmerizing, swirling spontaneous light shows illuminating the night sky. One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Northern Lights can be seen when the skies are clear during the darkest months, from December to April. An eerily beautiful experience you'll never forget.
Combined Husky and Reindeer Safari
An animal lover's dream and a great value excursion that makes the most of your valuable holiday time. Meet Rudolph and his friends deep in their silent forest hideaway. Learn about their way of life from colourful local Sámi herders and enjoy a romantic reindeer sleigh ride for 1½km across the snowy landscape. Delicious hot fruit juice and cake will be served. Next it's time to visit the huskies in their nearby cosy wilderness home. Learn about their way of life while huddled around a campfire inside a traditional Lappish Kota hut. Cuddle the husky puppies and enjoy a 2km dog-sled ride through the sparkling winter landscape.

Snowmobile Safari
Experience an exhilarating 25km ride through beautiful scenery, snow-laden forests and frozen lakes. Snowmobiles are fun and easy to ride on your own or sharing with a passenger. Children either share with an adult or are towed in a covered sled behind the guide.

Skiing
Levi and Ylläs boast some of Lapland's most extensive downhill and cross-country ski areas. Here you can enjoy snowsure skiing amidst the silence of the fells, mystical blue twilights and rose coloured skies. Lift passes and equipment hire may be purchased locally from our representatives in either resort. See pages 76 & 80 for more details.
Santa Short Breaks itinerary
(Itinerary subject to arrival and departure times).
3 Nights Itinerary - Sunday to Wednesday
SUNDAY - Inghams Santa representatives will be waiting at Kittilä airport to welcome you and escort you by coach to your accommodation. Then shortly after arriving in resort, you will be fitted with your complimentary thermal suits and boots. There will be plenty of time to explore your snowy surroundings, build snowmen, find a toboggan and throw those mandatory snowballs.
MONDAY - After breakfast join us for a welcome get-together to help you plan your activities for the next days. Later in the day a magical jaunt is in store with a visit to one of Santa's enchanting workshops. Here you will enjoy an exclusive private family meeting with Santa himself. You can also take part in supervised festive games and help the elves bake gingerbread biscuits. Outdoors you can meet Rudolph the Reindeer, ride on an Icelandic horse, catch the snowmobile train or have great fun tobogganing in the snow.
TUESDAY - Join in the fun by booking our exciting optional excursions. Perhaps a combined husky and reindeer farm visit and sleigh rides in the morning, followed by an exhilarating snowmobile safari in the afternoon. Alternatively try a few hours skiing on the slopes or wander around the local craft shops. Then get ready for a festive "Dinner with Santa" in the evening, including party games and a disco. Tuck into a gala feast of traditional roast turkey Christmas dinner and Lappish specialities. The evening gets into full swing with a visit from Santa and his reindeer. All children have an opportunity to meet Santa once more individually and receive a small gift and certificate - souvenirs that can be treasured for years.
WEDNESDAY - After a magical few days, it's time to say goodbye to your new friends before being transferred by coach to the airport for your flight home (usually around midday).
4 Nights Itinerary - Wednesday to Sunday

SATURDAY - Today you can choose whether to book additional winter activities and safaris or try a few hours skiing on the slopes. Perhaps you would prefer to wander around the local craft shops, relax at the hotel swimming pool or simply play in the snow. Then get ready for a festive "Dinner with Santa" in the evening, including party games and disco. Tuck into a gala feast of traditional roast turkey Christmas dinner and Lappish specialities. The evening gets into full swing with a visit from Santa and his reindeer. All children have an opportunity to meet Santa once more individually and receive a small gift and certificate - souvenirs that can be treasured for years.
SUNDAY - After a magical few days, it's time to say goodbye to your new friends before being transferred by coach to the airport for your flight home (currently around midday for Manchester guests and late afternoon for Gatwick guests).
