  Overnight in a Glass Igloo

  A unique and memorable night in a thermal glass igloo is the perfect way to have the best opportunity of seeing the Northern Lights from the comfort of your bed.

  Igloos have luxury twin beds, a small ensuite bathroom with toilet and basin, and are cosy and warm inside due to the special thermal glass. Kakslauttanen Igloo Village, with 20 glass igloos, is located 10km from Saariselka, well away from any light pollution. Transfers from your Saariselka accommodation, evening sauna (5-10pm), and breakfast are included. The igloo overnight stay can be pre-booked but the exact date of the overnight stay will only be confirmed within 48 hours of the booking as all reservations are subject to availability.

  Adult £159 per person (2 persons). Supplements apply for 24 & 31 December.

   

  Guests may also visit the Ice Gallery with ice sculptures made by artists from around the world (additional €15 payable locally.

  A weekly afternoon visit to Kakslauttanen Igloo Village and Ice Gallery is bookable locally without an overnight stay.

  An exhilarating 25km ride through breathtaking scenery. This excursion can be a family daytime trip or an evening adults trip 'In Search of the Northern Lights'.   Visit to Sami Museum and Inari Village
  

  6 hour excursion. A scenic 1 hour drive each way to the Sámi village of Inari. Learn about the fascinating history and culture of Lapland's native people at the Siida museum, and visit their silver smiths and handicraft shops. (Bookable in resort only, subject to minimum numbers or take the public bus on Wednesdays).
