Skiing in Ellmau delivers a great ski experience. You'll enjoy access to more than 250km of gorgeous piste. There are wide, easy, gentle nursery slopes close to the centre and there's a convenient, regular bus service running between the nursery area and the village. There's a convenient ski bus that links with the main lift and the Hartkaiserbahn, Austria's longest and potentially most dramatic cable railway. Après-ski is varied with lively bars or traditional Austrian events.

Relatively inexperienced skiers and second timers will enjoy the extensive choice of blue runs between Ellmau and Söll. For red-runners there is a circuit of over 20 linked runs in the whole region, many leading directly back to the village.

Advanced skiing in Ellmau

There are a number of black runs for the skier who likes to be challenged; one of the best starts from the peak of the Hohe Salve through the Leukenwald area.
