Skiing in Flaine mostly takes place in a huge, wide snow bowl. With the Grand Massif pass you can sample some gorgeous tree lined runs leading to nearby satellite resorts Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt for a varied and exhilarating Flaine skiing holiday experience. The heart of the resort, the Flaine Forum, is traffic free, lively and friendly, packed with good places to eat and shop and linked by a short free funicular on the go 24 hours a day to Flaine Forêt.

Skiing holiday to Flaine also take in the charming Hameau de Flaine, linked to Flaine Forêt by a free bus. Hameau de Flaine has its own ski hire shop, mini supermarket, bar and restaurant. Ski in Flaine for a lively but limited nightlife. Great fun and fabulous for families.

Beginners skiing in Flaine

There are several green runs and nursery slopes, which are located at the bottom of Flaine Foret area and at the bottom of the resort. The ski school has an excellent reputation and Flaine is great resort to learn for both adults and kids. It is situated in a bowl - reassuring for families and first time skiers and boarders. 

Intermediates skiing in Flaine

There are a variety of runs within the Grand Massif area with plenty of blues and reds.  For a long red, try the Memphisto run which goes all the way from the top of Grandes Platieres to the bottom of Flaine. For a cruisy blue, try the Serpentine which is wide and a great run to practise technique.

Advanced skiing in Flaine

For those who like challenging blacks, the steep Diamont Noir at the top of Les Grands Platieres is one to try.  You can ski the Flaine bowl in the morning and then head over to the Grand Massif area in the afternoon: there are 144 different runs available altogether.

Snowboarding in Flaine

A great venue. There are relatively few drag lifts in the area, and in the bowl, fresh powder is usually never far away. The board park is superb.
