Ski Filzmoos! This enchanting resort, steeped in tradition, is part of an enormous ski area. Nestling in between the Bischofsmütze and Dachstein mountains, Filzmoos is a pretty and quintessential Austrian village, where little has changed over the years. With its excellent snow record and magnificent scenery, it has much to offer both the skier and the non-skier and wherever you ski.

Skiing holidays in Filzmoos are hard to beat! The slopes are usually uncrowded and lift queues non-existent, and everything you could need for a great ski holiday is conveniently close at hand, 

Après-ski is popular at a couple of bars and cafés in the village, such as the lively 'Happy Filzmoos' or the cosy 'Kenn-i-di' bar. If you're a romantic at heart, try a beautiful horse-drawn sleigh ride through the forests to the delightful Unterhof and Oberhof huts, complete with live traditional folk music. An ideal end to your skiing day!

Gentle nursery slopes, conveniently placed close to the village centre at the bottom of the Grossberg chairlift, are ideal for beginners.

Ski holidays in Filzmoos for Intermediates

The main area is the Grossberg, where the Grossberg and Mooslehen chairlifts connect to Neuberg in the next valley. The central Papageno 6-seater gondola gives access to the Moosalm slopes for marvellous descents directly down to the village.

More advanced skiers should head for the extensive Ski amadé ski area (reached by bus 3 times weekly).
