Skiing holidays in Obergurgl & Hochgurgl offer a range of red and blue runs and this compact resort is small enough that you can easily meet up with friends on the slopes, at the popular Nederhütte mountain hut or down in Obergurgl itself.

Ski Obergurgl & Hochgurgl and and enjoy good snow conditions from November to May.  There's a new ski school meeting place at the bottom end of Obergurgl village and easy gondola access to the top of the mountain and over to Hochgurgl. Nightlife and non ski activities are mainly centred around the hotels, but also include a weekly ski-show, night skiing and tobogganing.

Beginners skiing in Obergurgl & Hochgurgl

There are now two beginners areas, one in the village centre near the Gaisberg lift and one at the bottom end of the village near the Festkogel lift. The Obergurgl ski school has an excellent reputation and all its instructors speak English. Bobos Miniclub will keep your little ones occupied with plenty of fun in the snow.

Intermediates skiing in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl

The whole area, from the Gaisberg or Festkogl (Obergurgl) to the Wurmkogl (Hochgurgl) has an extensive choice for skiers who like long, spacious blue and red runs. Blue runs 5 and 6 are good runs for low intermediates, and red run no. 7 and the runs by the Plattach chairlift in Obergurgl are good for better intermediates.

Advanced skiing in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl

There are some challenging black runs and good moguls on the unprepared ski routes or book a guide to explore the deep powder off-piste skiing on the Hohe Mut in Obergurgl or the Wurmkogel in Hochgurgl. A day trip over to the glacier in Sölden is well worth it.

Snowboarding in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl

Obergurgl and Hochgurgl pistes are generally suitable for snowboarding with a selection of jumps on the Festkogl area.
