About Soldeu-Maistre Hotel

The Soldeu-Maistre Hotel is a firm favourite with our Inghams guests. Providing a warm and friendly atmosphere, this family-run hotel offers excellent value for money and is nicely furnished throughout to a high standard in local Catalan style with extensive use of attractive wood-panelling. 

The hotel bar and lounge is popular with guests and locals alike,  with a sunny south facing terrace it is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes. When the sun has set, the bar is a focal point in resort and provides a great meeting place for a cosy night in. 

As the Principality of Andorra is located between Spain and France, its traditional food blends the flavours and tastes of both countries, making it a truly unique culinary experience. The vast array of ingredients from the sea, mountains, and farmland come together to create delicious dishes which can be sampled in the restaurant of the Hotel Soldeu Maistre.

  • The hotel is in a central location just a 4-minute walk, around 300 metres, to the main Soldeu gondola, where you'll find the ski school meeting points.
  • The ski hire shop is en route just past the gondola and is approx. 200 metres away.
  • It is 20 metres to the nearest bus stop for the local bus that takes you to Pas de la Casa, El Tarter and the capital, Andorra la Vella.
  • Transfers are dropped off and picked up 50 metres from the hotel entrance. 

This hotel is offered on a half board basis.

Fuel up for a day of skiing, the hotel offers a continental buffet breakfast with additional hot options each day between 7:30-10:30am.

The food at the Soldeu Maistre is plentiful and good quality with lots of home cuisine and a variety of traditional Catalan and Roussillon dishes being served. The buffet style dinner is served between 8pm-10pm with a good choice of dishes including soup and salads, starters, a choice of main course and a dessert buffet.

Christmas and New Year special buffet dinners include unlimited cava and wine during dinner and a party bag for New Year.

Discover Soldeu

The huge ski area of the Grandvalira, which links the resorts of Soldeu and Pas de la Casa has over 200 kilometres of slopes as well as an impressive, modern lift system with state-of-the-art gondolas and fast chairs, leaving no area unexplored. After a day on the slopes, try some tapas and discover the Catalan influences in the food, drink and lively après-ski. Or head over to the neighbouring ski village of El Tarter which provides a peaceful gateway to a fantastic network of slopes.

Things to do in Soldeu

Jump on a snowmobile and experience Soldeu to the fullest. Make the most of the guided tours that are available or create your own adventure and follow marked trails alone. If you're hoping for a little more excitement, night tours are also available in resort through request. Snowmobile drivers are required to be 18 years and over but children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

There is a wide variety of winter excursions offered around Soldeu with the Canillo Olympic Palace offering a range of ice activities like ice hockey, ice karting and artistic ice skating. The venue has stands for 1,700 spectators and has an Olympic size ice rink. You can even learn how to build an igloo which is great fun for the children.

Add a touch of adrenaline to your holiday and experience a birds eye view of Soldeu through paragliding. No previous experience is needed and there are multiple types of flight on offer with an amazing selection of guides. If you'd like to capture that unforgettable moment, some flights are documented with photo and video imagery available for purchase at the end of your ride. 

The Grandvalira zipline, 40 meters high and 550 meters long, gives you some of the best possible views of the mountains and Llac del Forn lake. You can either sit down and cruise or if you're feeling daring enough ride horizontally and prepare to fly.
