Unbeatable location

The hotel sits in a fantastic position on the side of the piste. You'll also have easy access to the huge Grand Domine ski area - totalling around 250km - and the snow park. If you feel like taking a day off of the slopes, there'll also be plenty of opportunities for non-ski activities around the resort of Alpe d'Huez, like husky sledding and snowshoeing.

Alpe D'Huez has been awarded the Family Plus Label meaning Hotel Les Bergers is a great option for children looking to make new friends on your family ski holiday. There are multiple children's clubs accommodating from 18 months to 17 years of age, providing all the fun from snow ball fights, games and challenges, mini discos and shows.

Alpe d'Huez is a lively ski resort and its position will make any skier or snowboarder happy. It has the double benefit of lying on high sunny plateau and being surrounded by an amazing snow bowl, with miles of varied and enjoyable runs and off piste opportunities. 

Skiing and snowboarding in Alpe d'Huez

This resort has everything to please no matter what your skiing ability is from wide open blues and greens to challenging black runs. There's 249km of skiing, giving you endless opportunities to explore and visit the different villages without feeling that you are doing the same run more than once. The altitude of the resort means that there is an excellent snow record, with the Sarenne Glacier and over 900 snow cannons, even late season skiing will have great conditions.

The Pic Blanc summit at 3,330m affords breath-taking views across the whole of the Southern Alps and provides a wonderful starting point for the Sarenne descent - one of the longest black runs in the world at fully 16km from top to bottom! Alpe d'Huez is ideal for snowboarders, providing two well maintained snow parks and plenty of boarder friendly cable cars and chair lifts.

With its lively apres scene, Alpe d'Huez has plenty of bars both on and off the mountain to keep you entertained. Head to the legendary La Folie Douce for an afternoon of dancing on the tables, if you prefer something a bit more laid back Smithys Tavern often has live music and streams live sports events. 

On the food front, there is a wide variety of restaurants suitable for all tastes and budgets. Enjoy restaurants serving regional specialities, cosy pizzerias or fine dining establishments.

Double rooms on half board are 15-18m² and sleep two people. These are part of a special offer on half board only, on a first come first served basis.

Double rooms on full board are 15-18m² and sleep two people.

Triple rooms on full board are 15-18m² and sleep two to three people. This room can be made up as a double and one single bed, or as three single beds. Please note, a twin room may be allocated if there are only two people.

Quad rooms on full board are 30-36m², sleep two to four people and are made up of two interconnecting twin rooms. Please note that only one twin room may be allocated if there are just two people.

Rooms must be taken for full occupancy in high season (Christmas, New Year, French February school holidays and Easter).

Located in the Bergers are of Alpe d'Huez, Hotel Les Bergers is in an ideal position at the foot of the slopes with ski to the door access. 

The nearest lift is only 50 metres away from the hotel and there is an in house partner ski hire shop so collecting your equipment and hitting the slopes couldn't be easier.

It is also only a minute's walk to the ski school meeting place.

Meals

The hotel offers great value for money as it is on a half board or full board basis.

A buffet continental breakfast with additional hot options is served between 7:30-9:30 am. A late breakfast is also served at the bar until 11am.

If you opt for full board, you'll have lunch included too. You'll be able to take a packed lunch with you or a buffet lunch is served at the hotel between 12-2pm with opportunities for you to eat in the sun on the terrace.

Après ski snacks and afternoon tea including cakes and hot drinks are served from 4:30pm to keep you going until dinner for those on full board.

Dinner is served in buffet style four course evening meals and is served between 7-9pm. Free water, wine and fruit juices are included and there'll be show cooking -  you can expect a variety of themed and Savoyard speciality menus each evening.

Christmas and New Year gala dinners included.
