Discover Klosters
Klosters and its neighbour Davos share 300 kilometres of great skiing and the full ski area is available on one lift pass. Few resorts in the Alps have such a dramatic panorama. Almost everywhere you look, the horizon seems to be pierced by jagged, snow-covered “horns” – (Schwarzhorn, Bocktenhorn, Weisshorn, Scalettahorn and Tinzenhorn – known as the “Matterhorn” of Davos) most of them well over 3,000 metres. The resort has gained reputation among the Brits as the favoured ski resort of the Royals, including King Charles.
You'll have direct access to the biggest of the six ski areas in the valley. Take the cable car, which runs from the centre of the attractive village to Gotschnagrat, and then onto Parsenn, the largest, most varied mountain. Alternatively, take the short bus ride to Madrisa, Klosters' own popular ski area, which has a relaxed atmosphere. Keen skiers can also take the scenic mountain train, included in the lift pass, to the slopes of Davos at Jakobshorn, Pischa and Rinerhorn - you're genuinely spoilt for choice.
Unlike the mountain metropolis of Davos, Klosters has a quiet, romantic, village atmosphere. That said there's still a great food scene, including traditional Swiss mountain restaurants, Italian and fine dining restaurants. Après-ski is relaxed, with a few attractive bars and one or two nightclubs.
Klosters has a quaint village atmosphhere, so it's not well known for it's nightlife. However there are plenty of snow bars and sun terraces where you can begin après on the mountain - Graströchni on the home run to Klosters is known for it's coffee with a shot. In the village you'll find classy, cosy piano bars and some lively spots like the Alpina bar near the train station.
Our hotels offer a range of wellness facilities, pools and spa treatments. Check out our accommodation pages for more information.
