Ellmau

Located in the heart of Tyrol, the attractive village of Ellmau is situated between the rugged ‘Wild Emperor’ mountains and the more gentle Kitzbüheler Alps. It lies on the vast ‘Ski Welt’ circus which interlinks several resorts, including Söll and Westendorf, enabling access to over 250kms of piste. Wide, gentle nursery slopes are close to the centre and a ski bus links with the main lift, the Hartkaiserbahn, Austria’s longest mountain railway. Relatively inexperienced skiers will enjoy the extensive choice of blue and easy red runs between Ellmau and Söll. Après ski is varied with lively bars or traditional Austrian events.
