Ischgl & Galtür

High in the Paznaun valley in the stunning Silvretta mountains, the fashionable, alpine village of Ischgl has some of the best skiing in Austria. An efficient high altitude lift system and beautiful scenery make Ischgl a true paradise for skiers. Nursery slopes are in an open bowl at the top of the mountain easily reached by gondola and the vast ‘Silvretta Ski Arena’ boasts 230kms of slopes with many long and open runs. Enjoy the long valley ‘Alp Trida’ run to the duty free enclave of Samnaun in Switzerland, and the great choice of black runs and ski routes. Also renowned for its après-ski, Ischgl is a lively village with a wide choice of beckoning bars and nightspots. Galtür is a pretty, unspoilt little village with its own 40km ski area and linked to neighbouring Ischgl by a frequent bus service, free with the lift pass.
