Kühtai

High up in the Stubai mountain range and only 35km from Innsbruck, Kühtai is proud of its snow-sure record and breathtaking scenery. Convenient skiing is to or from the door and lift access is virtually queue-free. Wide open nursery slopes in the village make Kühtai perfect for beginners. Intermediates can enjoy the many red runs back down to the village. Emperor Maximilian hunted here during the 15th century and today it is one of the best resorts in Austria for organised ‘Ski Touring’ expeditions. Evening entertainment is varied with a few bars such as the cosy Kühtaier Dorfstadl, a very popular après ski meeting place.
