Courmayeur

A picturesque market town with a charming Italian atmosphere, Courmayeur nestles beneath Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. The ski area, reached by one of Europe’s largest cable cars, boasts spectacular scenery and great skiing; the lift pass also includes skiing in nearby areas like La Thuile (free skibus) and Chamonix. Good intermediates should consider our ‘Ski away days’ which offer guided skiing to these three resorts. Down in the village, Courmayeur’s narrow cobbled streets hide a selection of smart shops, cosy bars, and fabulous restaurants that serve traditional Italian cuisine.
