With five different ski areas to choose from, Davos offers access to a vast area of over 300 kms of world-class skiing, suitable for all grades. The nursery slopes at Bolgen and Bünda are a good place for beginners to start, and there are easy blues at Pischa for practising those turns! Fantastic for intermediate and advanced skiers, Davos offers variety and mileage - try the 12km challenge from Weissfluhgipful to Küblis, plus the black runs on Rinerhorn and Jakobshorn. The snowpark on Jakobshorn with its half-pipes and jumps, combined with some great off-piste on Pischa, makes Davos a very popular resort for snowboarders. Those looking for cross-country have over 75kms of prepared trails! The main ‘Promenade’ is lined with shops, cafés and a few night-spots!
Things to do: Ice-skating • ice hockey • curling • tobogganing • snowshoe-trekking • ‘nordic walking’ • horse sleigh-rides • The World Economic Forum takes place in Davos from 28 Jan - 1 Feb • Excellent rail links to towns such as historic Chur or St Moritz.
