South of the cathedral city of Quimper, Bénodet is at the mouth of the beautiful Odet estuary and has a sheltered crescent-shaped beach of fine sand, ideal for watersports, a picturesque harbour, shops and restaurants. To the east a magnificent sweep of sandy beach stretches several miles to Mousterlin, and beyond to the resort of Beg Meil, at the mouth of the beautiful Baie de la Forêt.
