The programme features 91 resorts with flights from 25 regional airports across the UK, and at New Year Inghams is offering a ‘free night’s stay’ for all guests staying in their Chalets and Chalet Hotels.

    Positioned at the gateway between France and Italy, Montgenèvre boasts French charm with an Italian flair. With 300 days of sunshine, its high altitude skiing above the cross-border pass has one of the best snow records in France and the Monts de la Lune lift pass also covers the resorts of Claviere and Cesana in Italy and a day skiing the Milky Way. Visitors can spot the abandoned fortresses from the peaks of Les Gondrans and peer over to Italy from the summit of the Col Saurel.     Inghams has expanded its short breaks programme this winter to include Austria (St. Anton, Lech, Kühtai and Mayrhofen), Switzerland (Davos, Klosters, St. Moritz, Arosa, Grindelwald, Mürren, Wengen and Saas Fee), France (Val d’Isère, Tignes, Méribel, Val Thorens, La Plagne, Chamonix) and Italy (Courmayeur). In addition, in February 2017 Inghams will continue its short break ‘Snow Adventures in Norway’ with a range of three and four night holidays which include whale-watching, RIB boat seascape safaris and a chance to see the Northern Lights.

    Inghams is now offering three new outbound trips which will simplify travel to some of its most popular winter holiday destinations:

    • To Barcelona for Andorra, which is bordered by France and Spain in the eastern Pyrenees, and is well established as a favourite area for beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders.

    • To Venice for Cortina, located in the Italian Alps which offers plenty of challenging runs as well as some of the most amazing views from its pistes and for Arabba, which boasts challenging pistes as well as non-ski activities including ice skating.

    Inghams has introduced three brand new hotels to its winter 2016/17 programme. The three star Hotel Rockypop (Chamonix, Les Houches), five star Hotel Taj-I Mah, Les Arcs 2000 and in Lapland, the Muotka Wilderness Lodge:

    • Hotel Rockypop, Chamonix
    The brand new three-star Hotel Rockypop will open in December 2016 in the popular French ski resort of Chamonix bringing a new contemporary accommodation option for families, friends and couples. With its modern design, playful atmosphere and great value guest rooms Hotel Rockypop is set to break the mould of traditional ski resort hotels in Chamonix, just in time for the new ski season. The 148 guest rooms can accommodation between two and 12 people, with three types of room; RockyDuos; RockyDuplexes and Penthouses. All rooms are equipped with TV VOD, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a shower room with WC. The stylish communal lobby will house a central bar, foosball and arcade games and TV screens, while the hotel’s two outdoor patios will offer a vibrant alfresco bar and a relaxing outdoor longue. There will also be a restaurant for casual dining and an in-house ski shop for equipment rental and to store guests’ ski equipment. Hotel Rockypop will operate its own free shuttle bus to the Brévant, Flégère, Grands Montets and Le Tour ski areas as well as free outdoor parking for guests.

    Le Taj-I Mah, Les Arcs
    The first five-star hotel in Les Arcs, Le Taj-I Mah or 'Crown of the Moon', is due to open in December 2016 and will be a welcome addition to the Paradiski ski-area with 48 luxury bedrooms (24-29 sq metres) and suites (45-70 sq metres) each with spacious balconies and bathrooms. Le Taj-I Mah has a fabulous ski-in/ski-out location at the top of the Le Cabriolet ski lift and the ski school meeting point is located opposite the entrance. The hotel offers high-end dining from Michelin-starred Chef Éric Samson at the gourmet La Diamont Noir restaurant as well as a more casual Savoyard speciality restaurant, L’Atelier d’Eric. The large wellness area includes an indoor pool, a salt wall, steam bath, jacuzzi, sensory showers and solarium, massages and extensive spa treatments. Guests also have free access to the fitness room in the La Source des Arcs Apartments.
