Inghams moves into its 79th year of wintersports with nine handpicked new resorts: Axams, Going, Götzens and Kirchberg in Austria, St Gervais and Valmorel in France, Crans Montana in Switzerland, Pyhä in Finnish Lapland and Jasper in Canada.
New ‘Ski Inclusive’ packages include the stylish Swiss resort of Crans Montana, new this year, whose high altitude, snow-sure ski area is outstanding value for money with prices starting from as little as £799, with seven nights half board accommodation, six days lift-pass and equipment-hire and even a £20 bar tab included. Crans Montana is one of seven Inghams ‘Ski Inclusive’ resorts this winter, the others being Kühtai in Austria, Flaine and Valmorel in France, and the Andorran trio of Arinsal, Pas de la Casa and Soldeu.
Building on the success and popularity of Inghams’ chalet and Chalet Hotels – the fastest growing catered portfolio in the UK over the last three years – the new programme welcomes eight new chalets in France, two new Chalet Hotels in Tignes and Cortina, plus the complete refurbishment of the popular Chalet Hotel de Verbier in Switzerland.
Cortina is an icon of the Italian Dolomites, boasting stunning scenery, great skiing and attracting celebrities such as George Clooney and Sting, not to mention James Bond and the downhill chase in ‘For Your Eyes Only’! The new Chalet Hotel Parc Victoria here makes Cortina eminently affordable, with prices starting from £574 per person for seven nights’ catered accommodation, return flights, transfers, daily buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and five-course dinners with a choice of menu, wine and coffee six days per week
Across the programme, the ‘Inghams Plus’ range of offers and savings can reach up to £700 per couple, including early booking discounts, lift-pass deals, free après-ski snacks, free sleigh-rides, free spa vouchers and free child supervision in selected hotels
Inghams’ chalet and Chalet Hotel range now features 91 properties across Europe, with prices from £344 per person for 7 nights at Chalet Arlhof, St Anton. The entire range also offers significant savings with the ‘Inghams Plus’ benefit of 2-for-1 ski/snowboard-hire
Regional flights are now available from 28 local UK airports, including six new routes from Cambridge, East Midlands, Guernsey, London City, Liverpool and Luton. Skiers can also self-drive to any resort in Europe, or travel by train to France and Switzerland.
Inghams CEO, Andy Perrin, commented: “Building on the success of our last few seasons and two record-breaking snow years in a row, we are heading into the new 2013/14 winter full of confidence, with a brochure brimming with new destinations and offers. We firmly believe the UK ski market is back on an upward path, and look forward to making even more Inghams skiers and snowboarders very happy this coming winter!”
