Inghams launches 2016 Lakes and Mountains Preview brochure

  • Inghams launches its new 2016 Lakes and Mountains Preview brochure, featuring over 100 resorts, cities and tours, with departures from over 20 regional airports. Highlights include early booking savings of up to £700 per couple, free walkers’ rucksacks and walking maps for guests who book early and a new feature of ‘Inspirations’ for the forthcoming winter.

    Inghams have frozen holiday prices at the same level as they were in 2015 for Eurozone destinations. Further offers include savings of up to £700 per couple (including a £50 cash-back offer per couple, free packed lunches and daily afternoon tea and cake, free use of resort lifts and free first class rail upgrade on Swiss rail resort transfers). All offers are based on bookings made by 30th September 2015.

    Due to the continued, summertime popularity of walking and garden visits Inghams has once again chosen to devote a section of the brochure to ‘Glorious Gardens’ and ‘Walk With Us’. The first highlights over 10 favourite gardens to visit in various countries while the second presents Inghams Top 10 favourite walking resorts.

    New brochure offer
    Inghams is offering a free walkers’ rucksack to all guests booking their holiday by 30th September 2015 (one per couple). We are also offering our early booking guests free local walking maps, for over 40 popular destinations as well as a free Berlitz pocket guides for Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Venice and Verona.

    What’s new?
    Among the many two centre holiday options is a new holiday, ‘Jewels of the South’, combining Slovenia and Austria. This offers the opportunity to spend a week in Slovenia’s Julian Alps, walking the trails around Kranjska Gora or by Lake Bled, before moving to the Alpine spa resort of Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria. Also new in the brochure, ‘Winter Inspirations’, a section responding to a commonly asked question from Inghams’ Lakes and Mountains guests, “we don’t ski, so what have you got for us in the winter?” This includes;

    • Discover the magic of Lapland- including the top 10 favourite Lapland adventures and a guide of where to go and stay. Lapland delights include reindeer sleigh rides, skiing, husky safaris and the opportunity to visit or stay at the Lainio Snow Hotel.

    • Winter breaks in Northern Norway- discover Norway’s boats, trains, wildlife and wilderness plus of course, the chance to see the Northern Lights. All meals are included on these 3 & 4 night holidays with direct flights from London Gatwick with a choice of two hotels in each location. There are two packages available. The first, the Island and Fjords Adventure where activities include a search for the Northern Lights; a fast, scenic RIB boat ride with an exciting array of wildlife to look out for ; fine dining including an Umami dinner and historic tour of Harstad. The second, the Polar Express Adventure, offers activities including a search for the Northern Lights; a ride on the Polar Express scenic train; 2 hour free husky-sledding; a visit to the Polar Wildlife Park with a chance to get up close to wolves, arctic foxes, reindeer and moose and other unique Norwegian adventures.

    • Christmas markets in four of Europe’s most popular cities (Nuremberg, Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna).

    • Santa breaks for families- a choice of 3 or 4 night breaks including a private meeting with Santa!
