INGHAMS REVEALS TOP SIX GARDEN HOLIDAYS IN EUROPE

    Schynige Platte Botanical Alpine Garden in Bernese Oberland, Switzerland

    Set amongst the jaw-dropping scenery of the Eiger, Jungfrau and Mönch mountains, the Schynige Platte Botanical Alpine Garden is nearly 2,000m high and accessible by a scenic mountain railway. The garden houses over 600 native species of Swiss Alpine wild flowers and focuses on the research of high altitude flora.     Ljubljana Botanical Gardens, Slovenia

    The oldest botanical gardens in South Eastern Europe, the world-renowned Botanical Gardens at the University of Ljubljana offer more than 4,500 different species and subspecies of flora including many endangered species. From 21st May to 5th June 2016, the Bohinj area of Slovenia will come alive for the annual International Wild Flower Festival which brings a fortnight of flora-related events and exhibitions and attracts visitors from all over the world.

    Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg, Austria

    The iconic Mirabell Gardens of Salzburg are perhaps best known through the film The Sound of Music where fans will remember the Do-Ri-Mi scene when the Von Trapp family paraded in front of the Mirabell Palace.
