Vitranc Cup, Kranjska Gora
When: 3 March – 4 March 2018
Kicking off a month of exciting ski events is the Vitranc Cup in Kranjska Gora. Started in 1961, the event is an established stage in the Men’s FIS Ski World Cup. The Vitranc Cup is one of the oldest and most popular winter sports events in Eastern Europe.
The core event is made up of Slalom and Giant Slalom races. It’s also supported by exciting music events, in particular the “Q Party”, which follows the awards ceremony on the main stage. This historic ski race is a definite must-see event when you visit Kranjska Gora for your ski holiday.

Freeride World Tour 2018, Fieberbrunn
When: 9 March – 15 March 2018
The typically tranquil, quiet mountain village of Fieberbrunn seems like an unlikely place to host an extreme sports event. But Fieberbrunn is one of the most important stages in the Freeride World Tour. It is the penultimate event, and the final qualifier, deciding which talented freeride skiers and snowboarders will head to the final in Verbier at the end of March.
The Freeride World Tour attracts skiers and boarders from all over the world. Competitors travel from as far and wide as the USA and Canada. In Fieberbrunn, the freeriders must descend from the summit of the Wildseelder – a mere 2,118m up – and overcome a 70° slope as they head back to the contest village.
Part of the Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski Circus, Fieberbrunn is an excellent ski holiday destination, with over 250km of skiable terrain and excellent lift connections. The Freeride World Tour is an exciting spectator event which you will certainly want to witness during your ski holiday.

Classicaval, Val d’Isere
When: 13 March – 15 March 2018
Taking place in Val d’Isere’s beautiful and iconic Saint Bernard de Menthon church, Classicaval brings culture and sophistication to the ski slopes. This music festival began in 1993, and welcomes talented musicians, singers and artistic directors from across the world.
This season’s programme is under the direction of Elena Rozanova and will include performances of Brahms, Mozart and Bizet. Performances will be taking place in Val d’Isere’s church from 6.30pm each night of the festival. It’s a fantastically unique way to end a day spent skiing the massive Espace Killy ski area.

The Great British Celebration, Les Arcs
When: 24 March – 30 March 2018
For one whole week, the ski resort of Les Arcs will turn into a home-away-from-home. This fun ski-entente cordiale is now in its second year, The Great British Celebration will see the resort of Les Arc decked in Union flags and home to exciting events.
Events will include an England V France crunch bubble football tournament, a speed skiing competition, and the chance to meet British snowboarder Jenny Jones – the first Briton to win an Olympic medal in a snowboarding discipline. There will also be tea.
Les Arcs forms one half of the massive Paradiski Area. The area is ideal for beginners due to the large number of blue runs, especially up near Arcs 2000. And the scenery is stunning. There are spectacular views towards Mont Blanc and from the top of the Aiguille Rouge.

Cover Festival, Davos and Klosters
When: 29 March – 2 April 2018
The Cover Festival brings the biggest names in music to the Alps… in the form of tribute acts! Say hello to Tina Turner as performed by Totally Tina, Bob Marley as performed by Marley’s Ghost and Phil Collins by Still Collins, among many others. Cover Festival is an excellent and entertaining après event with wide appeal.
Cover Festival takes place in several locations all across Davos. The Davos and Klosters ski region is ideal for intermediate skiers. The Parsenn Super-Runs are a collection of exceptionally long red runs that are perfect for laying down the kilometres on the mountain.
