In an elevated position with superb views of Kitzbühel from the terrace, the Schweizerhof is in a great position opposite the Hahnenkamm gondola and just a short stroll down to the centre of town. The floor to ceiling picture windows make the most of the unspoilt mountain views surrounding the hotel, and our guests appreciate the good food and personal service provided by staff.

Kitzbuhel

This famous little Tyrolean town with its vibrantly coloured old buildings, cobbled streets, and medieval walled town dating back to the 16th century, is a fascinating place to explore. It is a hub of activity in the summer with a friendly village feel and is filled with pavement cafés, designer boutiques and various local festivals, concerts and open-air events. Set in a broad valley basin between the ‘Kitzbühler Alps’ and the ‘Wilder Kaiser’ mountains, it is a fantastic area for walking with over 1000km of marked trails, and a centre for E-Bike (electric) routes because of its scenic flat valley paths. Beautiful Lake Schwarzsee also offers swimming, sunbathing and rowing boats in a natural woodland setting, and its central location between Innsbruck and Salzburg makes it an excellent base for excursions and exploring the Tyrol. A full programme of events is offered by your Inghams Rep.

Herrenchiemsee

Journey via the romantic village of Reit im Winkl to the Chiemsee, known as the “Bavarian Sea”. The Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria. The biggest of several islands on the lake and accessible only by boat is Herrenchiemsee. The name derives from a sumptuous and wildly extravagant palace built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Marvel at the richly decorated interior and the stunning grounds all modeled on the Palace of Versailles. A fascinating insight into the world of a truly eccentric King.
